After a fantastic 2023 calendar all about Manx farmland birds, created by last year's MWT Biosphere Artist in Residence Clare Payne, we've decided to make MWT's 2024 calendar a celebration of all things #ManxNature, and what better way to do that than through a photo competition, showcasing the Manx publics' favourite aspects of our Island's wildlife.
We are asking for photographic entries that represent #ManxNature to you. This can be from marine to land based and everywhere in-between, and in any season or weather!
We need 12 images, one for each month, that describes Manx nature throughout the changing seasons, and 1 wintery photograph for our Christmas card.
If you have a photo you would like to enter please send a high resolution version to rachael@mwt.im with the month that you think it best represents and the name you would like as the credit should your photo be chosen as one of the winners.
The closing date for images is Thursday 31st August 2023
To be suitable your image must:
- be taken on or around the Isle of Man and Calf of Man
- be high enough resolution to be used as a landscape A4 image
- be taken by yourself
- be available for use by MWT with credit given to you/your business
All photos will be credited in the calendar/on the Christmas card to the photographer.
Each winning photographer will receive a MWT goodie bag, including the 2024 calendar!
This competition is open to amateur and professional photographers and the proceeds from the calendar will raise much needed funds to help protect Manx wildlife for the future!
The competition will be judged by MWT staff and the winners will be revealed with the release of the Manx Nature calendar and Christmas card in autumn.
