25th Inter-Island Environment Meeting 2025

IIEM25 will be a celebration of 25 years of the Inter-Island Environment Meeting bringing together environmentalists, conservationists and other environmentally-minded people from the UK Crown Dependencies and across British Islands. The 25^th event is being held for the first time in the Isle of Man after being set up and hosted in the Channel Islands for 24 years. The theme for IIEM25 will be Collaboration for Greater Impact.

IIEM25 will be held over three days at the Villa Marina in Douglas. The traditional IIEM will be held on the first two days, with an optional third day which will focus on designing conservation projects for corporate funding. See the outline schedule below.

The whole event will have a special 25^th anniversary flavour!

Wednesday 17^th September: Talks and workshops on conservation and environmental topics followed by an official IIEM25 celebration event in the evening.

Thursday 18^th September: Morning talks followed by afternoon visits to see a range of the wonderful landscapes and habitats across the Isle of Man.

Friday 19^th September: Focused on corporate partnerships, with keynote talks from Jonathan Andrews from Remarkable Partnerships (www.remarkablepartnerships.com), and leaders from businesses in the Crown Dependencies who are driving the sustainability and green financing agenda. The day will be an opportunity to develop your fundraising ability, for conservation organisations to deliver a short pitch to potential corporate funders on your projects, and an afternoon workshop to develop potential project ideas.

We are inviting people to submit abstracts to present at IIEM25. There are three options:

1. A 15-minute presentation with slides on a project or aspect of your work. To be part of Wednesday or Thursday.
2. An A1 or A2 poster on a project or aspect of your work or celebrating the 25^th anniversary of IIEM. To be on display throughout the three days.
3. A 5-minute (10 x 30 second slide) presentation on a project you would like funding for. To be given on Friday morning.
