Seasearch

Seasearch is a project for volunteer scuba divers and snorkellers who have an interest in what they are seeing underwater and want to learn more and help protect the marine environment around our coast. This vital information provides a better understanding of our marine environment and how it is changing over time. This can then be used by decision makers enabling them to make the best decisions for our marine environment.

It is a national project that is co-ordinated by the Marine Conservation Society with the main aim to map the various types of habitats and species in the nearshore waters. The training is fun and contains a mix of illustrated talks, practical sessions and virtual dives on video to practice your newly learned skills. For more information please check the Seasearch webpage www.seasearch.org.uk
