MWT Christmas Card 2021
Nollick Ghennal as Blein Vie Noa from all of us at Manx Wildlife Trust!
This year's Christmas card image was taken by Pete Hadfield back in 2010 in Bride. It's an important image highlighting that within living memory the Yellowhammer has gone from being the most abundant bird of Manx farmland to being completely extinct in the Isle of Man. The decline of this species began in the 1960s and continued until it was lost completely within the last decade. The last sighting in the Isle of Man was of a non-breeding bird on 30th March 2019 on the Calf of Man.
Thank you to Pete for the donation of his image for use on our Christmas card 🤩www.manxbirdphotography.co.uk
