Pictured below are the wonderful House Captains of the Andreas School, with their Head Teacher, Trish Dudley and Jeanette Weatherall, Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) Consultancy Coordinator, receiving the school’s amazing donation of £1083.25. As a token of MWT’s gratitude, the school in turn was presented with a ‘Thank You’ plaque by Jeanette.
Jeanette thanked the children warmly for their dedication and generosity of spirit in working so hard to raise such a huge donation for MWT. Jeanette added, ‘You are all absolutely wonderful and your hard work and kindness is very much appreciated by Manx Wildlife Trust, in particular as this is the second year in a row that you have chosen us as your favourite charity! We are all extremely grateful and your money will be well used in our conservation work!’
Andreas School Headteacher, Trish Dudley said, ‘The children have all worked extremely hard and shown incredible motivation; their passion in working for nature is immense and throughout the year this has never waned.’ Trish added, ‘the money was raised through a variety of activities all organized by the children and their teachers, including a Christmas Concert, a New Year’s dip and many other imaginative projects for their House Charity Days throughout the school year’.
In addition to thanking the students and staff of Andreas School for their fantastic support, MWT would like to say a massive thankyou to the generous people of Andreas for their unstinting support of the children of their community in their impressive efforts.
