Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) are delighted to announce that OceanWeb, specialists in maritime communication, who are based in the Isle of Man, are sponsoring this year’s Festival of the Sea!
Leigh Morris, CEO of Manx Wildlife Trust said ‘Events like the Festival of the Sea take a great deal of time and resources to deliver but they are a fantastic way to engage with people on the amazing marine wildlife that exists around the Isle of Man. We are absolutely delighted to have this support from OceanWeb which will enable us to deliver this popular family event again this year. Dr Ben Hextall, the Managing Director of OceanWeb, and his son, have often volunteered at the event talking to visitors about the incredible wildlife in the Mega Marine Tanks. So we know they have a great understanding of the event and the importance of marine conservation in the Irish Sea.’
Dr Ben Hextall, Managing Director of OceanWeb said 'The team here at OceanWeb have strong connections to marine biology, and we’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Festival of the Sea. Working in the Marine Industry, we’re only too familiar with the importance of conservation and welcome any opportunity to help educate the public on what we can all do to help preserve our oceans and marine life.'
This year’s Festival of the Sea is Saturday 24th - Sunday 25th July, 10am-4pm each day.
Part of the Port Erin beach festival, you can find our marquee opposite the Old Marine Labs in Port Erin, at the end of the bay.
Not an event to be missed, and great for families, we look forward to seeing you there!
