Could you be the person to help lead the strategic development of Manx Wildlife Trust? Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) are seeking to appoint a new Chair for our Council, to replace the existing Chair who is standing down at the end of their very influential term of office. Your core function will be to lead our MWT Council of Trustees (Council) and the strategic development of Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT), providing line management and support for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), strategic oversight on all MWT’s work, and represent MWT at a strategic level as/when required.

Part of the federation of Wildlife Trusts across the British Isles, MWT are the largest nature conservation charity in the Isle of Man, with a team of passionate, environmentally minded, dynamic, and supportive staff, volunteers, and supporters. The Chair of Council is our figurehead and is key to delivering our mission ‘to protect and enhance our environment, create more spaces for wildlife, and inspire people to act for nature, and our work across the whole spectrum of Manx Nature, from our marine environment to the Agri-Environment Scheme.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader in environment and nature conservation within the Isle of Man, at a crucially important period for our biodiversity and climate change mitigation. We are seeking a highly personable, organised, and competent individual, with exemplary communication, and leadership skills.
