About the event

Manx Wildlife Trust’s David Bellamy will lead an early morning bird walk around Centenary Park on top of Birch Hill (Onchan), where the IoM Woodland Trust planted about 2,000 trees. The walk through the 11-acre area should take 1-2 hours. Due to some steps along the path, it is unfortunately not suitable for people with walking disabilities. Dogs are permitted if kept on lead. A bus stop and parking is on top of the Birch Hill estate at Highfield Crescent. From there it is a 200m walk to the site via a signed pathway. A Woodland Trust volunteer is going to provide guidance for people from Highfield Crescent until 08:00. Sturdy boots advised as parts of the site can be wet. More access information can be found on the Woodland Trust’s website https://woodlandtrust.im/our-sites. Free event, but donations welcome.
