Know before you go:

Tynwald National Park was opened on 28 June 1979 by the President of Iceland, Dr. Kristjan Eldjarn, to commemorate the millennium of the ancient Parliament. The park covers approximately 25 acres and holds a wide range of less common largely ornamental trees and shrubs and is divided by grassed rides, each of which bears the name of one of the Island's 17 parishes.

Precise Location: Main Road, St John's, around 500 yards from Tynwald Hill

Parking: Car parking facilities are available at Tynwald National Park and Arboretum///cross.instants.flossing

The park has two ponds that are not fenced. Disabled access is poor due to inclines. The site is not manned.
