The role involves going out to reported strandings and taking some biological measurements and photos. You won't be required to go to every stranding, most will volunteer to go to strandings in their area ( North, South, East, West ).
We have about 40 strandings around the coast each year, but with a strong team of volunteers the visiting requirement is fairly low.
We are running a dead marine mammal strandings training for anyone interested in getting involved at 7pm on Monday the 23rd November.
Contact MWT Marine officer, Lara, if you would have any questions and to book your place on the standings training. Lara@mwt.im
VENUE UPDATE - The training will be held at the One World Centre/ DEFA training room at St Johns.
