About the event

Join Rob Fisher, Farmland Birds Recovery Officer, on a guided walk across “Curlew Country” in the Southern Manx Hills, an outstanding area of wildlife where the local Curlew population is bucking the trend and actually increasing thanks to long-term conservation efforts by DEFA and MWT.

Parking: Car park at MWT Dalby Mountain Nature Reserve on the Dalby to Round Table Road at grid ref SC232766 or What3Words: poem.prodigal.curtail. Please note that no public transport is available to Dalby Mountain. If the car park is full, please park considerately on one side of the road.

Access: Please note that this will be a rather lengthy circular walk along uneven and sometimes boggy tracks. This walk will not be suitable for those of limited mobility. As this is a very sensitive wildlife area, there will be no dogs allowed.

What people need: stout footwear, binoculars (if you have some), suitable clothing for the conditions, sun cream, water and a hat (if sunny).

There is no need to book – just turn up. The walks will go ahead regardless of weather.

No dogs please
